tonight's show in waukesha marked the end of

oil change, and a good wash. thanks so much to all the wonderful people
who came out to see us all over the country, especially those who
were kind enough to let us sleep on their couches and floors. without
you, touring would be a thousand times more difficult and stressful.
we're excited to be at home for some rest, and we'll be working hard
to get everything in line to have our new record ready for release
in the new year.
so, we've got three great shows left to finish the year out. most

fall back
well, as a group, we are pretty disheartened
by the outcome of the recent presidential election. it's been really
interesting traveling through texas during the last few days before
the election and then also in its wake. and in a larger sense, it's
been fascinating to tour the country this fall, registering voters
and getting a sense of local opinon for the impending election and
its candidates. it certainly gave us a sense of optimism, as it seemed
like there was a more intense interest surrounding the election than
the last time around. maybe in four years young voters will actually
turn out en masse to garner some change. until then, i guess we'll
have to wait and see just how bad things actually get.
ahem, in other news, we're really excited to get back to the midwest
in a matter of mere days. the bill for our 5th birthday party at the
metro is coming together, and we'd surely love to see everyone there.

putting on an art show presenting the works of nick and a number of
other up and coming chicago artists. the show itself will open around

between 9:30 and 10, we'll be playing a set to close out the event.
of course, nick will be performing along with us... most likely shirtless.
it's an all ages show, but there will be a bar onhand so those of
age can enjoy a cocktail or two throughout the evening. it should

we
have some unfortunate news to report today. last night in des moines,
singer chris hubble managed to break his ankle while attempting a
death-defying leap during the canoe song. while he did defy death,
his ankle was a bit less lucky. so, after a late night with the wonderful
people at the mercy hospital ER, we piled in the van and headed for
home. chris is going to see dr. bones tomorrow, and then we'll have
a clearer picture of how the west coast shows will be affected. hopefully,
we'll still be able to make most of the dates.
to all of those in attendance at the vaudeville mews last night, we
apologize for cutting the set short a bit. but, rest easy knowing
that you were privy to the most bizarre ending to any TH show to date.
also, note that we've gone ahead and unfortunately cancelled the shows
in Omaha and Lincoln. we're so sorry that we're missing them, but

the gunshy! he'd love to see your smiling faces. stay tuned for further
